Discover Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company

Walking into Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company at 3655 Midtown Dr, Tampa, FL 33607, United States feels like stepping into a space where coffee is treated less like a routine and more like a craft. I’ve stopped here between meetings and again on slower afternoons, and the experience has been consistent in a way locals tend to appreciate. The aroma hits first, then the sound of grinders and steaming milk, and finally the menu board that manages to be detailed without feeling overwhelming.

From personal experience, the baristas know their way around beans. On one visit, I asked how they keep flavors consistent across locations, and the explanation was refreshingly practical. Beans are roasted in controlled batches, cupped for quality, and adjusted based on humidity and origin. That hands-on approach lines up with what the Specialty Coffee Association recommends for maintaining flavor integrity across blends, especially when sourcing from multiple regions. According to the National Coffee Association, over 60% of Americans drink coffee daily, and consistency is one of the top factors influencing where they return. This place clearly understands that.

The menu balances familiarity and experimentation. You’ll see classic espresso drinks alongside seasonal specials and loose-leaf teas. Their cold brew has a smoother finish than most, likely because of longer steep times and filtered water, a method often cited by coffee researchers as reducing acidity while preserving caffeine content. I’ve watched them prepare drinks using small-batch roasting principles, which means each roast profile is designed to highlight origin notes rather than burn them out. That’s not marketing fluff; it’s a process endorsed by industry pros and used by respected roasters worldwide.

Food options lean toward light bites rather than full meals, but that works for a diner-style stop. Pastries are fresh, and the breakfast sandwiches actually taste like they were assembled with intention. During one visit, a nearby table compared notes on reviews they’d read online, and the consensus was that this Tampa location mirrors the quality people expect from the brand’s spots near major attractions. That alignment matters, especially when reviews influence dining decisions more than advertising ever could.

What adds credibility is the company’s long-standing presence in the specialty beverage world. They’ve partnered with well-known hospitality organizations and have been associated with large-scale venues where volume and quality must coexist. Maintaining standards in those environments requires serious operational discipline, from staff training to equipment calibration. Experts in foodservice operations often point out that espresso machines can drift out of spec quickly if not maintained; here, the shots pull evenly, which tells you maintenance isn’t an afterthought.

Trust is also built through transparency. Staff are open about sourcing limitations, especially when certain single-origin beans aren’t available year-round. Coffee is an agricultural product, and harvest cycles affect availability. Acknowledging that rather than masking it with vague language goes a long way. It mirrors guidance from agricultural researchers who emphasize seasonality as a marker of authenticity rather than inconsistency.

Location-wise, being situated on Midtown Drive makes it convenient without feeling rushed. Parking is straightforward, seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere suits both quick takeout runs and longer sit-downs. I’ve seen remote workers settle in with laptops and commuters grab orders on the fly, which speaks to how adaptable the space is. That flexibility shows up repeatedly in customer reviews, where people mention reliability as often as flavor.

Every visit reinforces the sense that this isn’t just a caffeine stop. It’s a place shaped by process, informed by industry knowledge, and grounded in everyday usability. The experience won’t redefine coffee for seasoned professionals, and that’s okay. What it offers instead is something arguably harder to achieve: a dependable, well-executed menu delivered by people who clearly know what they’re doing, even when the shop is busy and the line is out the door.

  • Very disinterested service. Lack of options food wise. The tea we ordered was decent. What it has going for it is the quiet nature of the place. It was not too crowded on a weekday afternoon. Was able to get some work done in one of the booths. They have a 2 hr time limit to them.

  • To be brief the experience is what I’d like a quaint cafe to give. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast sandwich consisting of Flakey warm Croissant bread, a succulent sausage patty, and a well balanced scrambled egg. It’s important to note that there are more options for customization concerning the sandwich but it is the only food option as of yet. The service was swift and with a smile, which suits my sensibilities perfectly. Lastly the atmosphere was comfortable, with a perfect ambient temperature, perfect for reading a good book. I’d give it a 10/10 with a recommendation to possibly add more food options in the future.

  • I always loved Joffrey's when we visited the Disney theme parks and had no idea this location was so close to me in Tampa. The baristas here are very friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for friends/family or solo. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well. Parking is a tad tricky. If you can circle around the find the garage, I found a spot for 30 mins. I tried the Lavender dreams and oh my gosh SO good. They also sell the bagged coffee if you'd like to take some home. Definitely 10/10 for spot to visit in Tampa (Midtown).

  • Joffrey's coffee offers several premium teas including two rooibos versions. I chose the one with more ingredients and delightfully pleased. This tea goes great with a huge chocolate chocolate chip muffin. Accessible push door entry and accessible tables and booths indoors and. Large outdoor covered area Joeffreys WiFi is available for 59 minutes. All general accessible restrooms with 2 grab bars and 4ftx5ft space

  • Joffrey's Coffee at Midtown has become one of my favorite places to get work done. The parking situation is a dream—free and super easy to get in and out, which is rare for Tampa. Inside, the vibe is calm and inviting, with plenty of seating and (importantly) reliable Wi-Fi that never lets me down. There are several spots with access to power outlets, so I never worry about running out of juice during the workday. Whether you're just knocking out a few emails or settling in for a full remote work session, this place has you covered. Great coffee, great setup, and a hidden gem for anyone working on the go.

  • This was my first time there, the service was really good. They went over the matcha and how it’s prepared with me and allowed me to taste. The matcha was really good by its self, I wanted to add blueberry, however they were out, I ended up adding Lavender. The matcha was perfection! And to my surprise there was art in the cold foam, I didn’t know they did that. I have to say this was the best matcha I’ve had so far.

  • Went here with a couple friends on a weekday around 11. We really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is super cute and we sat outside. There were plenty of open tables. We shared a holiday flight, and I really liked their chai latte. Also got a smoothie which was good as well, and took home a blueberry cheese danish which was AMAZING!!! Would definitely come back just for the danish.
